RAYLYN JILANI, ACSW

Raylyn is a compassionate and empathetic Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW125301) who is passionate about helping people feel understood, supported, and empowered. She believes everyone deserves a space where they can feel safe enough to show up as their authentic selves. She approaches therapy with curiosity, warmth, and an open mind, recognizing that each person's story is shaped by their lived experiences, relationships, family dynamics, and environment.

Raylyn brings experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across various mental health settings, including community-based mental health and residential treatment. Her clinical experience includes supporting individuals navigating trauma, emotional and behavioral challenges, life transitions, complex family dynamics, neurodevelopmental differences, and perinatal mental health concerns. Prior to becoming a clinician, she worked as a preschool teacher, ABA therapist, and paraeducator, supporting children with diverse developmental, behavioral, and educational needs.

Her therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, relational, and holistic. Raylyn believes people are more than their diagnoses, behaviors, or past experiences, and that understanding the why behind our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can be an important part of meaningful growth. She takes an integrative, client-centered approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness practices, and systems-based perspectives. She believes therapy should be tailored to each individual's unique needs, strengths, and goals.

Raylyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Child Development, with a concentration in Counseling and Family Services, and a Master of Social Work, specializing in Children, Youth, and Families, both from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Her graduate clinical training included bereavement counseling, supporting individuals and families navigating grief and loss, as well as a placement with Cedars-Sinai's Reproductive Psychology Program, where she supported individuals experiencing perinatal mental health challenges, infertility, miscarriage, fetal loss, and reproductive-related grief.

Throughout her career, Raylyn has felt particularly drawn to working with individuals who may have been misunderstood or made to feel that meaningful change is out of reach. Where others may see barriers, she sees opportunities for connection, growth, and healing. She believes meaningful change begins when individuals feel seen, valued, and supported.

Raylyn strives to create a collaborative, nonjudgmental space grounded in trust, honesty, and respect. She believes therapy is more than talking through problems; it is an opportunity to better understand yourself, develop self-compassion, heal from past experiences, and build a life that feels more aligned with who you are. She would feel honored to walk alongside you in your journey toward growth and healing.
