Mia is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #161166) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #21821) who is passionate about working collaboratively with people in their efforts to increase emotional and cognitive growth, create meaningful connections and relationships, and cultivate balance and peace in their lives. She strives to build a safe space with her clients to feel heard and understood.

Mia has experience working with individuals, couples, and families helping them navigate mental health challenges and relational conflict. She uses an attachment-based and trauma-focused lens to provide psychoeducation and help clients gain insight into their past and recognize how it impacts their current lives. Mia draws from evidence-based practices including CBT, TF-CBT, CPT, DBT, emotionally-focused, and solution-focused modalities and adapts interventions to fit your unique needs and challenges.

Mia believes deeply that everyone experiences mental health struggles and everyone needs therapeutic help at various points in their lives. She believes that the therapeutic relationship can be the foundation of growth and change and brings curiosity, warmth, and empathy to the therapy room. She strives to understand your unique perspective and incorporates your lived experience into helping you find healing and growth.

Mia earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Northridge.  She did her clinical traineeship at The Ness Counseling Center in Los Angeles. Mia’s clinical interests include treating PTSD, depression, anxiety, and working with couples and family dynamics.
