DR. NICHOLE MARTINEZ, PSY.D.

Dr. Nichole Martinez is a clinical psychologist who brings warmth, real-world experience, and a deeply relational approach to her work. With over 18 years in healthcare and more than a decade in behavioral health, she is passionate about helping individuals feel understood, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives.

Dr. Martinez earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from California Southern University, graduating magna cum laude, and her Master’s degree in Psychology from Walden University. Her clinical background spans acute psychiatric hospitals, treatment centers, and outpatient settings across California, giving her a unique and comprehensive understanding of the mental health continuum.

She works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, self-injury, and life transitions. Dr. Martinez believes therapy should be a collaborative and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences while developing practical tools to improve their daily functioning and overall well-being.

Her approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and client-centered, strengths-based frameworks. She focuses on helping clients better understand the “why” behind their thoughts and behaviors while building effective coping strategies that foster resilience and long-term growth.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Martinez has held executive leadership roles in behavioral health organizations, offering her a broader systems-level perspective and a deep understanding of the challenges individuals and families face when navigating care. She is also a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach, which informs her holistic and whole-person approach to treatment.

Dr. Martinez has a growing interest in psychological assessment and looks forward to expanding her work in evidence-based testing and evaluation.

She is committed to creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and equipped to move forward with confidence.
