JESSICA PARMAR , AMFT
Jessica is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #143291) who seeks to create a safe space where you can feel empowered, understood, and capable of creating lasting, meaningful change in your life. Jessica understands that healing is a deeply personal journey and that your perspective and intersections of who you are and what you have experienced must be understood and honored. Her work with you will be guided by what is most important to you, at a pace that feels comfortable.
Jessica is integrative and draws from humanistic therapy, behavioral models (CBT and DBT), mindfulness, and psychodynamic techniques to help clients deepen self-awareness, relinquish unhelpful patterns, and identify what they need to make change. Through exploring how past experiences shape current struggles, Jessica can help you uncover the roots of distress while also building your practical skills to navigate daily life. She also enjoys implementing art to facilitate self-expression and healing. Jessica has a warm and genuine demeanor, but will also gently challenge you towards growth.

Jessica has experience working with trauma, stress, family of origin issues, interpersonal conflict, anxiety, and depression. As a bicultural woman, Jessica also takes a culturally sensitive approach to treatment and has a special interest in issues related to the unique intersections of identity, intergenerational trauma, and cultural expectations. If you're ready to embark on a transformative journey towards healing and growth, Jessica is here to support you.
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Psychology and English from the University of California-Davis and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from California State Long Beach.
