AMY COUGHLIN, AMFT

Amy (she/her) is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #149904) who offers a compassionate and collaborative space for clients to explore their emotional experiences, process relational dynamics, and uncover deeper self-understanding. Amy believes in creating a safe, affirming, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel empowered to express their authentic selves and work toward meaningful growth.

Amy works with teens, individual adults, and couples, using an integrative approach that incorporates psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), self-compassion work, and mindfulness techniques. She is particularly passionate about helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and identity exploration. Amy’s work is guided by curiosity and respect for each client’s unique story, helping them make sense of the ways in which their personal histories shape current patterns and to create actionable strategies to support healing and resilience.

Amy helps clients deepen self-awareness, break unhelpful patterns, and reconnect with their personal strengths. She is LGBTQIA+-affirming and takes a culturally sensitive approach to therapy, honoring the diverse lived experiences of her clients.
