DR. CANDICE HANNANI, PSY.D.
Dr. Candice Hannani earned her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Health Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. She received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from UCLA.
Dr. Hannani has a wide breadth of experience providing evidence-based therapy and neuropsychological assessment to individuals across the lifespan. She is passionate about providing holistic care to adults, teens, and children that incorporates their cultural identity, personal values, and physical well-being.
Dr. Hannani completed her APA-accredited internship at Kaiser Permanente, where she provided evidence-based therapy and neuropsychological assessment to adults and teens with chronic illness. Her first year of postdoctoral training focused on working with children, teens, and young adults with neurodevelopmental conditions (i.e. Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Specific Learning Disorders, etc.).

Through her graduate training, Dr. Hannani developed a broad foundation of evidence-based treatments that allowed her to work across multiple levels of care, including inpatient units, residential centers, intensive outpatient clinics, community mental health centers, schools, and private practice. Dr. Hannani’s specialty in evidence-based approaches includes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
Throughout the course of treatment, Dr. Hannani uses empathy, curiosity, and non-judgment to allow clients to feel safe and heard. She works hand-in-hand with clients to cultivate long-lasting changes that align with their unique values and aspirations. In the process, she reviews tools for moving toward the direction of self-empowerment, so that clients can feel more equipped to bypass the hurdles that come their way.
Dr. Hannani is also passionate about neuropsychological testing, recognizing its role as a catalyst for change in individuals who are seeking to find answers to their struggles. Her approach to testing is thorough and collaborative. She values making the assessment process enjoyable and helping form a treatment plan that promotes growth in all areas of a client's life.
Dr. Hannani specializes in anxiety, depression, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Specific Learning Disorders, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, eating disorders, and substance use disorders. She has published research and given guest lectures at various facilities on psychological interventions for children and adults with chronic illness.
Dr. Hannani is a Los Angeles native. In her free time, Dr. Hannani enjoys yoga, hiking around Los Angeles, spending time at the beach, and trying new restaurants with friends and family.
