CHRISTINA KING, AMFT
Christina is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT 127119) who is dedicated towards serving others and providing mental wellness. She comes from a humanistic and cognitive behavioral lens, while utilizing mindfulness and somatic work to facilitate mind-body connection. Christina specializes in working with adolescents and adults who are impacted by depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic illness, and cancer. After supporting her mother through breast cancer treatment and recovery, she is passionate about serving those who are experiencing similar struggles.
Christina’s goal as a therapist is to assist individuals, couples, and families in becoming self-healers. Through her extensive experience working with intimate partner, family, and community violence, she has seen the impact trauma has on people. Christina understands and respects that you are the expert of your own story. She is here to foster a safe space to explore familial, cultural, and societal influences that impact conflict and suffering. Christina’s role as a therapist is to help cultivate awareness surrounding intra and interpersonal patterns that are no longer serving you and empower you to make changes accordingly.
Christina holds a Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical and Community Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.
